Maz's Baptism Video

On our 2014 Peru trip, one of our team members, Maz, took a step of faith and decided to get baptized in the Marañón River; the very river we traveled on to serve three separate villages with medical and dental care. She was baptized by Pastor Oswaldo and Lucy Dahua Inuma, two amazing, faithful, and humble individuals who grew up in the Amazon and have huge hearts for their people... our people. We are so proud of Maz for stepping up and being willing to show the world what it means to follow Christ. The song that is playing in the background of the video is 'I Will Follow Thee' by Daniel Dabney, a song that became the anthem of our trip. Listen. Watch. Understand what it means to follow Him, even in the most unusual of places.

"Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion - it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ." -Billy Graham

Maz,

We are honored to have witnessed your spiritual growth, and humbled by your desire to become more like Christ.  Ellen G. White said:   " A Christian reveals true humility by showing the gentleness of Christ, by being always ready to help others, by speaking kind words and performing unselfish acts, which elevate and ennoble the most sacred message that has come to our world. "  And you have been a great example of what it means to be a Christian, what it means to serve others, and what it means to follow Christ regardless of your circumstances.  You will do great things in this world for the sake of Christ and we hope that you never forget what He has done in you and through you in the Peruvian Amazon.

We love you,

Peru Team 2014
